    Since I didn't see a thread for it (correct me if I'm wrong): what are your pet theories about the 'story' behind Minecraft? I'm assuming most of you have heard of Herobrine, and if you haven't, here it is.

    I've also heard that there are such theories as Cthullhu-style invasion by unspeakable monsters and an after the end of the world scenario where the various zombies, skeletal archers, and creepers are gruesomely transformed human beings.

    TV tropes also has a 'dark side of the wiki' where it lists every twisted, frightening, and weird element of the game which might just be 'significant'.

    I don't know about theories, all i know is the Herobrine thing scared the hell outta me when I first found out about it :|

    Was too scared to play minecraft for a week :P

    yeah it means it leaves the game open to a storyline and possible a campaign mode
