Bullock spiting out chewed silage

I have a yearling bullock that keeps spitting out chewed silage, he is thriving fine it's just I find his habit disgusting :eek:.

the silage might be too acidic, making it taste sour, is there only one spitting it out?

If the seat's wet, sit on yer hat, a cool head is better than a wet ar5e.

We had a cow like that a few years back. Used leave a huge heap at the head of the cubicle. Salt deficiency I think it was caused by. Not 100% sure though.

Give the vets office a call. I think it was easy enough cured. Can't remember exactly what the treatment for her was but we were giving the whole lot of them salt licks for the rest of the winter. They were mad for them!

That's interesting about the salt, the silage is very dry more haylage then silage, yes only one spitting.

i wouldnt worry too much about it at all. have had a few doing that and there was no panic. thrived same as rest. could be overfeeding and it regurgitates back up then
