Pietmontese and parthenaise

    Lads im thinking of changing the bull,Iv been looking into the different breeds,Iv run Lim and Char before but id like a cange now, iv no interest in blues really but i think the Pietmontese and Parthenaise are lovely animals..Do ye know anything about them and which would ye recommend..

    Lads i also have alot of limmo cross cows now that i hadnt when i had the limmo bull would that be a good way to go again i wonder..

    If you search back a bit there is plenty of discussion of parthenaise bulls on here.
    They are "the in thing" at the moment.
    nice cattle. I bought a pedigree heifer myself recently

    I had an aubrac bull before very easy calving and quite like the parthenaise
    there from around the same region of france
    He grew as big as a ch or lim and was very quite only sold him cause I needed
    more dairy replacments
    Id say I never used calving jack while I had him.
    The pietmontese are a different breed from italy
    I think they are lighter boned and harder calving maybe not as big.

    Thanks lads iv found out alot about the parthenaise,im very interested in them now have ye any idea is there breeders down my part of the country..I cant seem to find out much about the pietmontese are they very rare around the country?.
