RsLogix 5000 Question

Hi all, have a question for an assignment I have to do. I'm not completely plc literate but I'm not looking for the answer (can't learn by getting it handed to me) just looking for some guidelines or tips to follow. Here's the assignment:

Write a program for the RSLogix 5000 PLC/ CJIM PLC and the ICONICs SCADA to simulate the control of a three phase induction motor.

Three sine waves, 120 degrees out of phase, should be output from the first three channels of the analog output card of the PLC, the signal will vary between + and – 10 volts. The system should be started and stopped from buttons on the SCADA main screen. The SCADA system will display the sign waves, current status of the motor and allow the operator to vary the speed of the motor.

Even telling me where to start or how to come at this would be appreciated.
    Thanks :D
