    Hi All,
I am looking for a ordanance suvey map that show farm layout, we have two farms that are divided by a road and have 2 different townlands. We are looking for planning permission and it is easier to get it in the second townland, but the farm has always been under one townland name, it is the herd numbers only that has it under different townlands. If we can prove that the field is in the second townland, we will get planning. Can anyone help, I have been on every dept. website, but can't get maps.
    Thanks

Is there a site that corresponds herd numbers to maps, also where can I check herd numbers (what dept. do I go into).
    Thanks

Not that i'm aware of but if you contact the local department of agriculture office with your folio number they may help you out, but your story dosn't add up because when your applying for planning you must send in a site location map which shows the townland on it, these maps can be purchased from osi (ordnance survey Ireland). Planning authorities don't go by farm or herd number.

Ordnance survey map 16 inch to 1 mile will have the townland boundary on it. They are expensive though and take a few weeks to arrive after ordering them. Some of your neighbours might have one so you can get a photocopy or the right numbers for the map(s) you need.

Sorry no idea how you will match the herd no to a particular plot, is there a crush on the second plot?

Do you have two herd numbers?

Sorry I can't help with the answer. I do not even understand the question.

You would be better talking to a professional civil engineer/surveyor/planning consultant with regards to the maps and planning etc.-they will know where to find the maps and will help you interpret planning conditions.
