    had a sales man call this evening selling Liqui-thrive beef breeder a pre calving drench apparently it lifts trace elements just wondering did anybody use this

    yeah we used it, nightmare trying to dose wild sucklers but we managed it, father bought it, had a few calves with bowed legs last year so thought it was mineral deficiency but it seems this was a common enough problem last year.
    wait and see but TBH i'd prefer to give minerals on the silage over a few weeks.

    we use it on the suckler cows ,used to have a selenium problem until we started using it ,we use it along with mineral on the silage ,find it works well very few problems at calving and has tightened up calving as cows are coming bulling quicker its expensive but i feel we are saving money with earlier calves
