Getting Prestige

I've levelled up to 50 and got all the XP but nothing is happening. Is there something I have to do to get prestige, it's puzzling. Thanks

Once you get to lvl 50 you have to play through that level and get another 75000xp or whatever it is to advance. Once you do this you'll get an option to prestige.

On Call of Duty World at War on the Wii, you get to prestige levels after level 65...
I'm on normal level 51!!
