    Heh gang,

Just wondering if any AHer's live in seaside villages/towns and, if so, how you rate it and what do you think are it's main attractions/selling points.

Don't live beside the beach myself. But if I were to, it'd be Lahinch or Bundoran. Sure the surfin' is only mighty!

    Dingle.
It's bloody expensive but it is worth it.

i do agree with you, food is dearer than other places i have travelled, i think kensale is also v expensive like dingle b and b is at hotel prices in these places, and lunch is at dinner prices, and renting houses is also more expensive in these places

    Inland Envy

    Take me home to Carlow.
    Carlow by the sea.
Let me run through the sand on Bagnalstown strand,
Watch the trawlers tie up on the quay.
Oh, I’ll scrimp and I’ll save ‘til I surf every wave
    In Carlow by the sea.

    Don't you mean FUN-doran?! :D

As for Westport or Galway, fack-all surf in either place OP, stick with Strandhill!

Strandhill's not a brilliant place for surfing unless you're a beginner or learner. It's a nice spot though... always a bit of life there, even in winter.

I used to rent there, but moved out of the area when we were buying.. I miss the place if truth be known.

Sandycove ftw. Only trouble is, as soon as the sun comes out we get invaded by knackers.
