I'm homesick for Ireland and I am still living here. I miss the upbeat atmosphere, and the times when every radio station, news channel and website did not in someway focus on the economic downturn. I long for the time when town was not deserted on a Saturday afternoon, and when a loaf of bread was not a luxury item to some.

    But most of all,

I miss the time when the dole payment was the guts of €200:cool:

Edit: What I meant by this OP was - stay the hell where you are and be thankful, you daft cnut!

Nothing beats homesickness like a dose of joe duffy, he'll make you thankful that you're not living there anymore

At least you can roll out of bed without having to hear about corrupt politicians, recessions and house prices....

...unless you are in Egypt/Tunisia/Yemen at the moment, then I can sort of understand why you might be homesick!

    Leitrim probably.

OP Dublin isn't considered abroad, I know you are from Wexford and anywhere outside Wexford feels like you are travelling abroad because the place is such a sh*thole but I've been in a similar position. I grew up in Dublin and moved down to Kerry and I had to try and come to terms with the fact that Dublin isn't the centre of the world. It was tough but for a long time I thought Dublin was surrounded by a giant wall and that the rest of the country consisted of sheep f*cking, turnip eating, incestous farmer zombies! Your not alone, just grab a bus down to Wexford from the bus station in the "city" and you'll be grand kid!

I thought nobody lives there since '86 because of the radiation?
