Have one month left in this place before I become a statistic. What shall I do to take my mind off things? I'm not above fapping my troubles away, and not beyond killing. Any suggestions gratefully appreciated!

bring the business down. That should keep you occupied for the last month

Move that few yards to that 7th circle anyway.

But other than that, emigrate, especially if you have skills in high demand.

I'm not sure if being on boards most of the time did good things towards the decision to fire you ;)

Watch Fight Club,go to the boss's office and if all goes to plan you will leave with some swanky office equipment and 2 years worth of pay checks,
you will have to ruff yourself up while there though.

    defeatism......

That's not the attitude that will get us out of this recession or get you your next (better) Job.
    "YES WE CAN"

Now get in there and destroy that fcking company.

So far, this is my favorite suggestion.

This is almost exactly what I'm going to do. Start my own damn company. With blackjack. And hookers. In fact, forget the company. [/futurama]

Was it here or reddit or my imagination that I read about someone who went around the whole company and took the fuses out of everything cos he was let go?

    Do that.

But sorry to hear. I've been there so the only advice I can give is don't lose heart. Get out as soon as with CV's to anywhere. Join sites like irishjobs.ie monster.ie jobs.ie and sign up for automatic emails for jobs.

Well there are a couple of guys I know who are looking for work now too. I have a Reliant Robin. Will that be adequate?

OP, think of it as an opportunity to see a bit of the world.

Did you know that the Chinese use the same word for "crisis" as they do for "opportunity"? They call it 'Crisatunity.'
