    Hey guys,

Just wondering what is the difference getting your hair cut with a scissors or a razor. Thing is, most guys I see get their hair cut with a razor. Just realised the other day that I dont think I have ever had my hair cut with a razor- ever.

Would the outcome be much different ? Want something different for my next haircut you see.

I have thick hair, not straight but not really curly either. My hair is kinda like this except not so long at the front. Want something different now and thought a razor cut could do something for me, maybe highlights too.

most men that go for razor cut don't give their hair much thought. It's quick, simple, and neat. No funny bullsh*t, just hair tidied up. If that's something you'd like, then in for it.

Id say you mean a clippers OP, number 3 around the sides job. It serves its purpose but it's overused IMO. A scissors gives a better cut from my experience. A cut with a straight razor or cut throat is meant to be great for adding texture to hair or so im lead to believe.

I get both clippers and scissors done. I ask for a '2 back & sides, short on top'. Clippers back & sides, sissors on top and thinned out a bit. I come out with something akin to Michael Owen's hair. Not that I ask for that intentionally...

Yeah actually I meant a clippers. But after looking it up on the net, a cut with a straight cut throat on the top can give some really cool texture ! I'll inquire about that when im in the barbers the next time.
