a controversial choice I'll admit lads and a bit cheesy but I think this guy needs to be critically re-evaluated as has happened to the likes of Neil Diamond, some of his tunes and hooks are really catchy and if he released a new album of new songs produced by a "fashionable" guy like Rick Rubin then I think it's possible he'd attain cool indie status, on that basis I am including the following video, everyone usually goes for "Mandy" or "Could it be magic" (A fantastic song) but he has many great songs in his canon

This is actually a song I've recently rediscovered. Haven't heard it in over ten years but having just listened to it again it's just as great as I remembered. Song called "If" by The Bluetones. One of the best "Na Na Na Na" endings in history!

Not very original in a contemporary sense, I agree in that it's a good catchy song but it just sounds TOO similar to Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros - Home for my liking.
