iPhone email being deted after 24 hours

Hi - a friend has an iPhone and has added his Eircom.net email account to it. Somehow his emails are being removed from the iPhone after 24 hours. But not from his web-based eircom.net account. No doubt it's a settings thing (at least i hope) - but we cannot find it anywhere. Any ideas. Thank you.

Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendar > [account name] > Account > Advanced > Deleted Messages

Change to never.
