Was trying out a few new ones last year, working for an agri-contractor a little bigger than a 2000 though.
hi-spec 2500= great pump but problems in other areas as the back door on tank is set to high on tank so makes cleaning it out very hard, also getting the pipe off the side is a problem if your not 6'3.
major 2250=also great pump also more user friendly than the hi-spec.but the comfort when pulling,i think it needs a longer chassis under the tank as was a bit jerky being pulled by a john deere 6830 50k box
nc-tanker 1750=Maybe if it was just empting your farm tank it would be ok,but i found this a nightmare, even for such a small tank the pump was dreadful
He bought a tank for a lorry to draw to fields at a distance and the major.

what are they like , thier certainly well priced

mentioning them in the same breath as ruscon isnt a very good idea though , ruscon were the cheapest tank on the market in the past 20 years , they were also the flimsiest made tank , that said , yards all over the northern half of the country were full of them

Bought a 2000 gallon Hi Spec on Christmas week

Have only used it for 1 day but it seems excellent. The pump is fast, it is very smooth on the road with suspension drawbar, the spread seems excellent.

All in all we are very happy with it but like i said that was the one and only day we used it

Will be giving it a right good test on saturday though - will report back then if it does anything to change my mind!!

If your buying a tank, get one with the biggest wheels possible, great for low ground presuure in soft ground/weather, I would like to get one of those Ground Hog tank's ( low ground pressure & low centre of gravity) seen them at the ploughing. A fair tank and look well made - pitty about the price though!!!!!!!

Biggest wheels not always best option, the 2500 hi-spec seems very unstable when crossing hilly ground, would have been much happier with a double axle.

We bought an 1100 gallon major new there last year..no complaints so far seem a fine tank..seem a little bouncy on the road but i suppose that can be due to that theres no drawbar suspension on them smaller tanks:rolleyes: Otherwise perfect the baloon tyres are a mighty job:D:D
