Boosting my wifi signal

Hello all. Firstly please bear with me...I am NOT great with computers/networking etc. I want to boost my signal so that my brother who leaves approx 50m away can receive the same signal. The idea being that we split the bill between us. Is this possible? What do I need to do this? Many thanks
