consdering utd never bothered leaving 1st gear, i doubt it would have been much difference.

United Thread Player of the Month for December, iirc.
But you use this instance to call him poor, it makes you seem so educated.

I doubt Kenny has had any impact in the 24 hours he has been boss!

    New manager bounce perhaps

Nice one great result, always nice to beat that lot. King Kenny has a lot of work to do to get Liverpool anywhere near the top 3 or 4.

Jesus, Liverpool were pathetic, practically accepted defeat for those last 30 minutes.

the mountain of 10 men just made us knackered in the last 15 minutes.

    a decent performance though.

i'm delighted with Kelly, Skrtel and Lucas in particular.

let's see what happens against Blackpool.

Utd didn't need to go out of 2nd/3rd gear after the sending off, but fair play, they controlled the game for the last 20 in particular and saw it out very professionally.

    Utd MOTM - Berba/Ferdinand

    Liverpool - Kelly.

To listen to some United fans go on here you'd think they hammered us, rather than squeaking past 10 men thanks to a dodgy penalty. It was very even up to the sending off so Pool fans should be pleased with that, but annoyed with Gerrard for his stupid tackle.

Well done, ye won the singing contest. By the way we cruised pass ye into the next round partly due to liverpool's captain fantastic and his suspect temperment:D

    Cheats.

In fairness Gerrard got punished for the cheating.

Deserved victory. United with an under-strength team didn't need to be at their very best and it's good to see the team in the next round. Liverpool would want to be worried about Torres as his attitude stinks. Kelly put in a good display though. Very impressed with Evans today as well.

There'll be United fans who'll say it was a penalty on Berbatov too, that doesn't change the fact.

That United fans call him good, doesn't make him good.

What game were you watching? Down to 10 men at Old trafford and gave it a go. They played well imo

Candidate for worst ever Man Utd/Pool match!

Kelly really should keep his place for ye.

Not as embarrassed as Pool fans surely. But yes that wasn't a great performance and we haven't been performing all that well at all this season, today was no different.

Disappointing result of course. But i'm happy enough with the performance considering we played the majority of match with ten men and being one down after a minute.

We were always in the game and i felt throughout we could get something out of it and if it wasn't for the red card, maybe we would have.

Utd can't seem to kill teams off, but they manage to get across the line in the end. They deserved the win today, no doubt about it.

But at least we showed a bit of fight, spirit and never gave in. Positive enough, anyway. Never f*cking nice getting beaten by that lot though!!.

    Anyway, onwards and upwards. YNWA
