They are fully entitled to all the compensation, they glorified their injury for by law, but its by no means right.

    It is what's ruining football.

If they're fully entitled to the compensation, then why shouldn't they get it?
I agree diving is ruining football, but Berbatov's was by no means the worst dive this season or even this week, there is a claim for Agger making contact with him, he didn't trip over fresh air or anything.

Eh, were you not thanking people who are saying it was a pen?? I guess I dont understand, if he dived like Gerrard did there......

Because it was a pen! And it was also a dive. Just illustration that when you live by the sword you have to be prepared to die by the sword.

Football absolutely has to introduce video referees.

All strikers would have dived in Berba's position.

The sport turns honest players into dishonest ones.

Another one that needs to learn the rules, even with Video evidence it was still a Penalty.

I was only stating a simple fact, didn't know it would cause such animosity. Maybe its hitting a nerve with the United crowd, apologies.

Howard Webb is a United fan through and through. I really can't understand why the league insists on giving him United games to ref.

Really happy how we are playing. The long ball from the backline has disappeared, under Roy that's all we did!

Yeah he missed the high foot and the contact! Doesn't suit him to see that though

better closing, and we're not afraid to pass the ball.

Fairly normal consequence of changing a manager mid-season.

It's how the rest of the season pans out which will tell if there's any real difference.

in effort, yes, i always expected it.

but the way we're playing with the ball is miles ahead of what Hodgson has been having us do.

Lucas is having a great game.

Torres is not, and Evans has him in his pocket so far,

Not much difference to the Chelsea game TBH. Consistancy is whats needed.

Liverpool looking like they're not really paying attention the last 5 minute or so, some poor play.

Liverpool played United at Old Trafford already this season. The difference in attitude, effort and style of play between today and then is massive.

Scrappy passage of play, both teams misplacing passes

Do you think the hour or so that Kenny Dalglish had with the players this morning has changed the way they play?

If so he must be one hell of a manager to get his points and objectives across in that short a time.

But Daglish is playing Rafa's system. Of course the players will look better this way as it is his formation.

consistency is what's needed, but even against Chelsea it was mainly long ball.

    and we were at home.

there's definitely a change of emphasis it seems.

but we'll see over the coming weeks.

Aye but Liverpool were generally more awake til then, looks like they're all starting to take their cues from Torres now. :pac:

it's a knock out compition you would expect that.

Missed the start of the game... have to agree that it was never a penalty (just watched it a few secs ago). I don't think anyone can dispute that.

    Nicely taken by Giggs though.
