Killing heifer for freezer

    Thinking about killing AA heifer for the freezer..Never done this b4 and am wondering if any of you do this or have done this?..If you have i would appreciate advise or tips such as:
    1. Where to get the heifer killed ??(i am in north roscommon)
    2. What is the going price for slaughter and prep?

    done this for the first time this year great decision if you decide to go ahead with it!! Got the heifer killed by a local butcher (co meath). the cost was €220 all in. the price is worked out by weight(so much per lb) plus a couple of fees . she was a handy sized limo too small to breed of. was surprised how much meat there was just squeezed our half(halved her with d brother) into our freezer.
