    We were so stupid back then to think the end was nigh just because of a few computer digits....It's a ludicrous idea.
    ...Not looking forward to 2012 though, enjoy 2011 while we can. The sh1t will hit the fan in 2012, just watch.

    Well I remember hearing about 2012 back in 1999 or 1998.
    There is no other end dates after 2012 so I seems more than likely that it's going ahead.

    Sometimes these things get delayed though I suppose, the magnet poles are 35,000 years overdue to shift.

    the amount of people who are just ignorant to the huge amount of hours that went into fixing the y2k problem is just incredible. Do you really think all those software types were just twiddling their thumbs emailing radio shows about how ****ed it was all going to be?

    nothing happened because it was solved ahead of time, not because it was an engineered myth.

    This mindset of people never ceases to amaze me. Its akin to a Londoner asking why the British government wasted billions of pounds building the Thames Barrier in the 80's....."Cause like, we've neva ad a flood since innit? :D

    Same with the publics response to the possible swineflu pandemic last year.
    Why did we waste all those billions of pounds vaccinating people? The pandemic never happened!!

    <FACEPALM>

    :D

    *facepalm*. The thing that gets to me is that it was never called global warming by scientists, what is happening now is exactly what most climatologists said would happen.

    http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/7/7e/Satellite_Temperatures.png

    That's enough for most people, but by all means, jump on the "Global warming is bull****" band wagon.

    Y2K isn't funny. My old portable TV has been showing nothing but old B&W silent movies ever since Jan 1st 2000.

    About 1.5 seconds.:P

    Actually, I thought it up in the Y2K, and have been waiting patiently for someone to mention Cuba in a post ever since, just so that I could confuse everybody with a Cuba Gooding reference.
