your best C.O.D title poll

with all the talk about call of duty 4 being most peoples best title in the series ,it would be interesting to find out what you all find the best with a poll. personally i voted for world at war , i just found it best for maps and game play.it was the first one that i played online tbh it was a toss between waw and cod4 , but i just use to play waw for days on end , almost made me single .

i wonder could a mod move thread to call of duty forum , my mistake posting in xbox , sorry about that.

I voted COD4 because the multiplayer was just so great. But COD2 holds a special place in my heart!

COD 4 for me. The weapons are still amazing.
The game-play is still best.
The maps, barring Bloc and Overgrown are fantastic.
Quick-scopers have a counter.

IMO, Call of Duty 4 was an amazing game, and it's why I gave it my vote, I've only just got Black ops before x mas so I can't say if it's better or not yet. but I would still play CoD4 even though they have brought out 3 other CoD titles

Have to say that I am really enjoying Black Ops. Have not got into a game as much as this in a long while. Enjoyed 4 of course, but I find myself enjoying Black Ops more...

blops is starting to grow on me a little, i got ruddy plastered last night and decided to just run and gun , put on light weight and marathon and had an absolute blast. still have that WAW love , MW2 a close 2nd .

personnally I'm torn

If we are talking single player then its COD 1. None of the sequels ever matched that feeling of being in an actual warzone as COD 1 did.

But multiplayer...I'm still out as every cod game since 4 (never player 1-3 online) i've played always ends up having one aspect of it becoming a pain from abuse (noob tubing, juggernaught etc) and cause I've played these almost exclusively on xbox there is not much chance of a series of patches fixing the issues.

But the zombies + well designed maps of black ops make me favourable to it. I played cod 4 on pc briefly and found it much more enjoyable then its xbox equivilent.

Had never played Cod ever until the first Modern warfare , there was a few of us in my friends house one night having a few beers & the lads were playing this , with a bit of Dutch courage inside of me i had a go & instantly loved it. The following morning i went into Smyths & bought a Ps3 + Cod4 & havent looked back since . Sentimental reasons led me to vote for Cod 4 but World at War was a close second as that was when i started getting good!

CoD2 for me then black ops. Only really played CoD2, MW2 and Blackop's enough to judge them. CoD4 just wasnt good enough to take me away from cs/tf, whereas i played quite a bit of CoD2. Im guessing CoD2 wont get many votes because most of the people on this forum never really started playing online until either CoD4 or MW2.

Joke people, joke.

COD4 and COD2 were both critically acclaimed by the vast majority of people and are still popular, especially the former. COD4 edges it for me as I prefer the modern setting and 2 1/2 years of consistent play says it all.

MW2 and Black Ops are fairly evenly split on opinion it seems. Both equally have bad and good features. A mix of both would have been just dandy. Black Ops is superior IMO for reasons mentioned numerous times in the past.

COD3 was painful. Painfully poor.

WaW I can't comment as I never played.

COD1 I only played single player, can't even remember if there was an online MP to play

I just have a gut feeling MW2 was the first COD for many here. I could be horribly wrong but if I were, I'd have thought COD4 and COD2 would be well ahead. Horses for courses and all that, but I think we have a few blind horses here. Few of the lads on the PS3 haven't played COD4 or games before that.

As for your Q. Yeah COD4 was when the console gaming boom began. I think Halo 2 I think it was plus GOW helped cement it all.

You should really give COD4 a chance if possible. Considering you like BOPS and COD2, you'll love 4 for sure

I had COD 1 on pc many moons ago, didnt play another one until MW1 which was my first console COD, I prefered the single player for that but the multiplayer for MW2, was MW2 broken, horribly unfair and riddled with bugs, glitches, gobsh1tes and other nonsense? sure, was it fun? fcuk yeah it was, so it i voted for that, MW1 is the best game, but I had more of a laugh playing MW2

Yeah i should, i dont even have it for the ps3. I got it for the PC when it came out but was too into playing with my clan etc to give it a chance. I did play it a few times competitively at lan tho

(I was there to play cs ofc).

Rainbow 6 and graw were the big starters , gears helped it along , halo and cod 4 .

My bad, yeah Rainbow 6 was a key game.

Was GRAW that popular? It was the first game I actually bought for the PS3 but I couldn't get into MP. Tough learning curve. Soon bought COD4 after that.
