Saw a thread like this on another forum and thought it would be cool to have! Just post some pics of what you are doing! Repairing, building, setting up and musical instrument or piece of equipment!

Heres some pics to get you started!

I have a duncan distortion (bridge) and duncan 59(neck) on the way. If the guitar feels nice to play(will be my first neck build so thats questionable) I will put them in it, otherwise I will put them in my epiphone sg and put the sgs old pickups in the v

Nice idea for a thread. Here's a project I started today, its an Allparts Strat body I got off a friend. The reason he gave it to me was because

    (1) As you can see, all the holes need to be drilled, something he wasnt comfortable doing.

and (2) He took a bit off the pocket trying to install the neck:

Luckily im no stranger to paint and drills so here's where I am after a bit of work today:

If I get a chance I'll drill the neck and bridge holes tonight.

    Good idea for a thread!
2 days ago I had my telecaster copy on the table and I installed a new bridge pickup in it. Its got a set of duncan single coils in there now and the sound is much better than the cheap stock ones.
Yesterday I pulled a few frets from a Jazz copy bass I had lying around, hopefully later on today I'm going to pull the rest of the frets and use some wood filler to make it into a fretless. The neck pickup isn't working in that either so when I'm done with the frets I'll take a look at the wiring and see if I can get it working. I might just keep an eye out for some 2nd hand jazz pickups anyway because the ones in it aren't great anyway. Some of the finish on the back of the neck has cracked off from a fall a few years ago so I'm hoping to sand that off and oil it but I've to order the oil yet. I'll take some pics of the bass when I get it done and post them up.

I did some work on that bass I mentioned in my last post, I pulled the frets by heating them with a soldering iron and then getting under the fret with a knife and pulling it with a pliers.
    Here's the bass before.

A friend helped my out and I had all the frets off the board in a few minutes. Then I got some light coloured wood filler and put it in the fret slots, I was trying to use a knife but ended up doing it with my fingers. As you can see I'm so lazy I didn't even take the strings off fully, I used the same ones when I restrung.

I left it sit over night to harden and today I sanded off the excess filler and got some nice clean fret lines where the frets were. I need to do a small bit more sanding to finish the clean look, especially at the top end of the fretboard. In the future I might protect the board with some epoxy. Right now I have it restrung and it's playing pretty nicely, it's definitely got that fretless sound which is what I was looking for. Here's what it's like now
