    Situation A

You are trying to checkout double 1.

First dart goes into D18, but is just hanging in there.

    Is your turn over?

What if you throw a second dart, hitting the first leaving both on the ground.
Are you now free to throw your third dart at D1??

    Situation B

You check out with your first dart of the throw.

In celebration you throw a dart which hits the board.

Have you now busted out with a no-score?

I'd imagine the ref's decision is final.

Situation A he's going to call 'no score', which in turn means your throw is gone.

Situation B he's going to call 'Game shot'. Again, the game is complete.

A couple of years back in the City West Felix McBrearty hit double 20 with his first dart to get away but when he threw his third dart, the first one fell out. It's a pity situation A isn't possible cos it would take a bit of skill and would look quite impressive if you could manage it. As regards situation B I read somewhere that it's in the rules that you can't bust a game that's already been completed

Forgot to add poor Felix was left with no score. Think he hit a single 20 and treble 20 with his second and third darts
