    Ashley Williams has been tapped to star in TNT's Bird Dog, replacing Eliza Dushku as the lead.
    Williams, 32, will play Gail McGrath, a cop who is forced to partner with her estranged father, also a policeman, who will be portrayed by Gerald McRaney. Mike Robe wrote the script and will direct the pilot.

    I'm sure plenty males are highly dissappointed but Ashley Williams is a stunner also and at least can act :rolleyes:

    Eric Mabius has joined the cast of forthcoming TNT drama pilot Bird Dog.
    It was previously reported that Ashley Williams had replaced Eliza Dushku in the lead role of police officer Gail McGrath.
    Deadline now reports that former Ugly Betty star Mabius will play Tim Burke, a County Sheriff who harbours a secret crush on Gail.
    The actor recently completed filming on upcoming BBC sci-fi drama Outcasts and has also played recurring roles on The OC and The L Word.
    Undercovers actor Gerald McRaney will play Gail's father in the Bird Dog pilot, while Wynn Everett, William Ragsdale and Suzy Nakamura will also star.
