its that time of year again

I'm back home again for the second time in 2 weeks since I've been in and around Mullinahone for the last week or so. I've also discovered where the 0.1% non-coverage on the Vodafone network is. It's a communications black hole there.

That was my first time listening to Joe Duffy (I even resisted during the various airsoft outbursts). Jesus Fried Chicken, it's DESPERATE. What a complete mess! Couldn't make out what's going on half the time with people trying to shout each other down and not being controlled, and Joe doesn't seem to have the wit to understand complicated points but instead have basic training in trying to get people to agree to outlandish statements partially related to their points. I'm honestly surprised that's the best that can be done with the idea of people sharing opinions and arguing by radio - surely they'd have learned some tricks to make it listenable.

Had some mates over for a game this evening and one of them mentioned some uproar over the song, and I was like "what, because it's got a rude word in it?" and he said no, it's because it's bringing Limerick into disrepute. That's the hardest I've laughed in days! How could something bring Limerick into disrepute - that's where Limerick IS.

Dude from the group did an excellent job shutting up the opposition though. Respect for the culchies!
