Have you enabled custom BMG? According to t'internet, enabling custom BMG causes the game to freeze and let's face it t'internet knows everything!

Yes I have custom BMG, will try it without it later.
    EDIT:
Cheers for that nocal, turning on the original music sorted it.

No worries - had the freezing problem myself a few weekends ago - and it only happened on the day that I enabled custom BMG. It is very annoying when you are playing your "last" race of the night and do not have time to re-start everything as you really should be going to bed. So turned off the custom BMG the next day and it has never frozen on me since. I actually have the game BMG turned off also so when racing I just hear the game sounds now.

Now off to play some more with the Veron that I won last night :D

Anyone know how to get golds in the Sebastien Loeb challenge? I completely suck at the rallying in GT, and its worse in this challenge because you cant set up your car. Any tips?

I only get to play the game at weekends because if I had access to the PS3 on weekdays college work would suffer badly! After having ignored the Top Gear challenges for a long time I had another crack at them today. Managed to win gold in the VW bus event after a good few attempts. Overtook all bar 1 of them on the first lap! :D Now to try and improve on my 4th position in the Lotus challenge.

I'm sucking hard on the lotus race. I just can't control it under braking for the second last corner.
Was trying the AMG Nurburgring earlier, by God it's tough. I'm a hairs breath from gold in the first section.

Ya I was two corners from a second position in the Lotus challenge and lost control of the car under braking. The AMG school is tough to get golds but its still great craic because the 'Ring is a savage track.
On a side note my B-Spec driver just won his first race. DC2 Type R FTW!

that lotus challenge is a joke that car handles nothing like that as its a really planted car in real life, couldnt get over how bad it was

Anyone else try karting around the Nordschleife? Around 11-12 minutes to do 1 lap. Bitta craic though :D

I took a classic Fiat 500 round the Nurburgring a few weeks ago. I thought I was gonna fall asleep halfway through. In the end I just quit the lap. :p

I won a Zonda race car earlier and have been racing with that for a while. Fan-fecking-tastic. The acceleration is phenomenal.

Woo finally got GT5 yesterday, didn't get much in the way of sleep or dinner!

AMG school on the 'Ring is really fun and I'm loving the top gear test track.

Pity about the used dealership being so ****e but Its only a minor flaw.

Yeah i'm all over the place with that challenge. Just want 5th to be ended with it.

Picked up the logitech wheel, i need a higher table, legs are killing me. Anyways the wheel is pretty good, great for holding a racing line and not skidding. was trying the intermediate nascar challenges and ended up with 2 golds, 2 silvers after some pitifull attempts with the pad. Must try the wheel on the lotus challenge.

Has anyone managed to find any cars that this can actually be done?

I have tried loooooooooooooads of cars ranging from old to new, slow to fast. Racing modifications never seem to be available?

I think it was the Gran Turismo World Championship in B-Spec, in the Professional section. I did so much racing and won loads of cars yesterday so can't be certain but a quick Google throws up that you win it for winning that selection of races.

It seems the best cars are won in B-Spec. Nothing I've won in A-Spec comes close to the Mazda Furai and the Zonda-R.

Lads, anyone know where I can pick up the Logitech DFGT today (South Dublin)? Argos seems to be sold out of it.
I just cant get the throttle control using the DS3.

Best bet is to ring a few game shops.

They had loads in stock when the game first came out, must be pretty popular...

If you REALLY wanted one today you could drive to Carlow, less than an hour down on the new M9:D

HMV had them for 135 or something as well, might be worth ringing around to check them if you don't mind paying a bit extra.

Strangely enough I don't think any of the usual game shops like gamestop or game were selling them. Which seemed like a huge missed opportunity to me but there ya go.

Might give that a shot so. Get some real world driving practice in :)

EDIT: Just checked with Smyths and there may be one available in their Lucan branch. Here's hoping.

Just won that Mazda. Jasus it was a pain in the hole to get. Ended up putting a lot into the MX-5 for my driver to be able to win the race and it took a few goes.

Just one of word of warning if you do get one, it's a good wheel and great fun to use but you will need to mount it on something otherwise its pretty much unusable as you wont be able to hold it steady. Just something to think about.

I never modified it as it goes like stink so I don't know if modifying it ruins the handling. Try it unmodified and see how you get on.

I took this for a spin round the Nurburgring in GT4:

... couldn't, in good conscience, recommend it... what with the slight incline at the beginning. :D

    Hi.

Does anyone know what the benefit is of having more than 1 driver for this?

I just levelled and I can now have 3 drivers, what is this for?

    Thanks.

Yeah I'd recommend it. Not sure if its because its slightly harder to get better cars in this one or what but when you get up to the high end cars its class. Not that I've really managed that yet but I've had a taste and I like it:pac:

I'm using the driving force gt wheel as well which could also have something to do with it...
