I've seen that before. Isn't it just magnificent!
Earlier this year I tried to get my hands on an old style bike from an aquaintance who has it sitting around just rusting away. He said it's a future project for him to do but it breaks my heart every time I see it just laying there. Oh well.
Have I ever shown you my favourite tweeds? Take a look at this guy. Dashing Tweeds. He blends flourescent threads into the weave for cyclists ( and narcisists like me who like to shine in the lights). The plus fours might not be to everyones tastes but the tailors will make the suits to your specifications. Now if only I could afford a bolt or two of the tweed. :(

Can anyone please tell me where can i get any of this collection? Thanks!

Has anyone else ordered from Asos in the past week and had a problem with their order? My order still says it's 'processing' even though I placed it on Monday. I've never had to wait this long before for them to dispatch an order.

Just in case anyone wants to know there's a ladieswear sample sale on from Wednesday to Saturday 10-7pm next week in the Citywest Hotel leisure centre. I've gotten some beautiful dresses from these guys in the past so someone might find it useful! :)

I've given up wearing shoes on my way to and from work. It looks rubbish having a pair of runners on but it's just too damn slippy

Wellies! I got a pair for a tenner in Aldi and they're deadly. Warm and tons of grip and dry. :)

Right, I need some measurements help!

Thanks to phasers I'm now in love with this beauty:

    eBayISAPI.dll?VISuperSize&item=140447343890

From their site their measurements go like this:

    137750.JPG

    My measurements are:

    Bust; 38''
    Waist; 33''
    Hips; 39''

So according to the measurement chart my bust and hips fit in the medium size, but my waist is an inch too big for that and would more fit the large size.. I'm stuck as to which to pick because jackets being too big annoy me, they just look awful, but if its too small I won't be able to move my arms, y'know?

Any help or advice would be most appreciated!

I can't see the pic you posted but if it's a coat you need to add 4 inches to your tape/skin measurements to get a size that would fit comfortably.

    ^Ah they are so cute!

I've been wearing my real fur out the past week due to the extreme temperatures. Only had one comment so far, courtesy of a drunk lad. Feeling quite lucky :o I hate when people comment, I mean I don't say "Hey you, why are you wearing that ugly shirt?" :D It always seems to be men that comment, men wearing leather shoes, leather belts and probably had a steak for dinner

The coat is long dead, my grandmother bought it in Switzer's as a 21st present for my auntie. Auntie hated it, but was told "Marie! You are a young lady and young ladies need a fur coat!". I AM against new fur, as there is no need to farm fur because of synthetic fur being so good. But then again, I probably wouldn't give a crap if I lived in Siberia!

Placed an order with Asos two weeks ago and haven't heard anything about it. Contacted them about it there about it today just wondering if it was the weather that had caused the delay with it being dispatched and they replied to say it's been lost with their feckin carrier. So not impressed. :(

Wasn't sure quite where to ask this but don't think it warrants its own post so I thought perhaps here would be appropriate.

Getting a manicure next week in Nails Inc (pre Christmas party treat). I have a nail varnish I'd like applied; but it's not Nails Inc. Just wondering do places who have their own line allow that......I sound like a child but you never know!

Yeh! Couldn't see why they wouldn't unless it's a really cheap nail varnish thats hard to apply.

Ugh the clasp on my pretty birthday shoes (Picture) broke after one wear, so I returned them to the shop. They said they'd send them off and call me when they're ready. That was about FIVE weeks ago, so I popped in yesterday to see what the story was. The sales assistant was so lovely and apologised so much for the delay. She then complained about the owner of the shop being a little unorganised... So she went out the back and my shoes were there, just sitting there, and repaired  No tag on them, no copy of the docket, not even a note. Very annoyed. The girl asked would it be ok if she cleared it with the manager before she gave them to me, as although they're 99% mine, she just wants to make sure. Yeah no problem I said, just ring my as soon as because I really want them back.

Would I have ever gotten them back if I hadn't called in!?

Thats really bad of them Twee. Obviously don't care about repeat service.

  • Moderators, Recreation & Hobbies Moderators Posts: 9,721 Mod ✭✭✭✭Twee.

Yeah I pretty pissed off. My mother would be a regular customer there, and you kind of expect better service from a boutique, non-chain store.

Anyway. If they don't call by Monday I'll go in again. It's Christmas party season, I need my party shoes!

Can doing a lot of sport that involves a lot of intense shoulder/arm work change your bra size? I've never done any sport before about 6 months ago and normally I wear a 30D or 30E, but after remeasuring myself there and putting it into one of those calculators I come out as 30B, can it change that drastically? :)

Boobs can change! I was measured almost a year ago and was a B cup and then about 2 weeks ago, I decided to get remeasured and was a D. (Due to a change in Pill, I think) But yeah, losing weight and stuff can affect boob size, so getting measured is a good idea. :)

If anything, it probably would have increased your band size due to muscle development. Can't really see it reducing your cup! If you're comfortable in a 30D/E, stick with that, because a 30B sounds like a recipe for massive overspill of boob.

Also, I have NO idea what I want to get for my Christmas clothes. I can't decide if I want to just get something casual or something fancy, and within that there's a hell of a lot to choose from. I'm also pissed off that the coat I saw and fell in love with in Next yesterday is completely out of stock in the stores and website in a size 12.

I personally love a cute comfy jumper on Christmas! Great for lounging around and eating way too many sweets :D

I have just recieved my red trilby hat from ASOS :D.. then I opened it and it was squashed in delivery, packed into a small package. Now the front is floppy and the sides are moulded into an odd form.

Anyone know a way to get it reshaped, it's too gorgeous to return. :(
