Yes. It's beyond ****. I have no idea why its included and how anyone ever even thought it would be fun. But someone suggested letting your ferrari into a race and just surf the net with the sound down. I did that a few times. You can Google GT5 b spec prize cars to see you think its worth it. If you're playing a spec and need to go to the jacks its worth setting up a b spec race to play out. Can't imagine anyone doing it for an endurance race

Anyone having any trouble with the second kart race in the advanced stage? They're trick to handle in the Autumn Ring.

Went off and bought an R8 V10 for the German Series, thinking I'd be up against Mercedes SL65s and the likes. Turns out I was only racing Golfs and diesel BMWs.

For the kart race, the main problem is the rumble strips on the apex of corners. As long as you keep clear of those, you should be fine

That's all you're up against now, but you'll want it for a little later on, mate.

The trick is to be dead smooth and stay well away from the other karts while agressively overtaking at the same time...easy!!:D Braking late is a big no no. Only took me 20 goes to get it right!

Oh and you can slipstream on the s/f straight but so can they.

Stupid question here but is there a way to turn off the racing line in GT mode?? I have looked around the different menus but haven't come across anything.

It's in driving options at the start of a race. Don't think you can do it once the race has started

Does anyone know what format the music on your HD must be to play it as background music? It keeps telling me that the file type is unsupported :mad:

I'm using mp3 with no problems. Only seems to work during races, not menus

Apparently GT5 is really uppity with the mp3s it'll play. I've not had any problems so far, though.

Are you trying to play the file in the background as with some other games selecting it from the XMB or are you using the GT5 option to make it play that file during a race.

When in GT Mode > Music Library > Race BGM tab. Just below these tabs you'll see a gear icon, click on that (BGM Settings (Race)). Firstly select 'Open PS3 system Music folder' and select a song/folder and then select "User BGM (Race)".

Would love to throw my day car around the Ring

I don't see Vauxhall or Opel in the Dealership page but see Speedsters etc in the Used Car Lot.

Of all the posts over the last couple of weeks........I haven't seen anything cheaper than €99 and you can get that in Argos. (There was a temporary 50% Black Friday special offer on Amazon but that only lasted about an hour or so).

Has there been any talk of an update to the AI? The other cars don't seem to take me into account if I cut in front of them, it's like they are on rails and will slam into me regardless.

Yeah i agree. Sometimes it seems like you are in a race with a Train with 11 carriages :eek:

the astra touring car is in there for a few million. didnt have enough to buy it when it was in the used dealership myself

Is anyone else having issues with GT5 freezing? I'm going through the licences tonight and I've had to restart the ps3 literally twenty times in the last two hours. I'm on the A-10 test now and it freezes at the exact same spot every time, just as your finishing the lap with the finish line in sight :mad: Extremely annoyed with it at the moment!

Deleted the game data and tried it again without doing the full install and it's still freezing at exactly the same spot :mad:

Have you enabled custom BMG? According to t'internet, enabling custom BMG causes the game to freeze and let's face it t'internet knows everything!

Game has only frozen once on me since I got it and its been played a good bit.

It froze twice in the last few days, once when I won a crappy 83 Honda Jazz. It froze when I went to open the ticket. After a restart the small icon doesn't appear in my garage but the entry is there....strange. I've been playing since it was released.
