    Hi
In our office we have an Eircom Advantage 4800 linked to 8 digital phones, 5 Analogue phone and a remote dedicated IP Phone offsite with its own extension number. Is there anyway to link a generic voip/sip softphone on a laptop or blackberry to the system as to act as an extension instead of having to lug around a dedicated Phone. I have access to the installers menu via ip. Anyone who has pointers on how to do this would be welcomed :)

Hi Alien, thanks for your reply. The only thing i cant figure is how to get the Eircom Advantage to allow it to function as a SIP Server. I have SIP Software that will allow me to connect to services like Blueface but what i would like to do is assign something like Extn 67 to a softphone on a laptop or a SIP Service on a Blackberry. I have already tried using the VPN From Home to link but no Avail. Cant figure out how to configure the Advantage side.

    Hi,
I thing devices like "Eircom Advantage 4800" have a many restriction of configuration ( do you know - commercial - eircom keeping their service and money)
Sorry but I have no experience with Advantage 4800 and I thing you need service manual (every details of configure, setting up, etc.)
But is possible finding solution every time.
    Please try this:
