Jump start tractor

    Hi,
    Any idea what standard of Jump Leads are needed to jump start a tractor.

    Looking at a set that says 600 AMPS and 35mm

    Any fairly decent set will do if your stuck. Just give them 10 minutes with the engine of the donor vehicle running with a rev on. It'll put a bit of charge into the tractor battery and it wont rely totally on the donor or the jump leads for starting.

    If you're buying that set by the way, I would say, if they can carry 600 Amps, you'll be more than covered.

    Longer the better... we have two sets and one is longer and it's very convenient, don't need to be jamed together for starting..

    Agree with this, the longer the better, Have had to use jump leads this week on the tractor. Got caught out where the front loader was down and the tractor was parked in the middle of the passage of shed. Such a pain.
