you know when you say it too yourself that everything is going fine that something will pop up.well i have just reached 40 cows calved no losses no vets all going fine and now i have a outbreak of ibr in the calves just going out now to put stuff up their nose, bloody farming at times like this it would get you down.

That's a pain. At least you know what to do and the ibr thing works fairly quickly. I hate those situations when the vet scratches his head and says it's probably a virus...

i think you are more likely to get these
things when houses have been in use
like a build up of disease and then it
spreads

What different happened at the time the disease hit?
I reckon the disease is most often always there, but something trigers it like stress caused by, weather changes, weaning etc
