Essay grades

    In first years arts and ust started to get back essays. So what is an ok mark? I know 40 is a pass but from then on how do you know if you are doing ok-well-very well etc.? :confused:

    Above 70 is a first class honor or 1:1

    60 to 69 is a second class honor grade one or 2:1

    50 to 59 is a second class honor grade two or 2:2 (afaik)

    40 to 49 is a third class honor.

    40 to 45 is a pass.

    So ideally, 70 and above, you're doing very well but you can adjust accordingly for your own preferences. From an Arts point of view.
