Back to -0.3 so hovering around that now. Precip over Wexford looks nice, hopefully it will hold together.

Snow has pretty much stopped now.

In Johnstown, Navan, Meath. About 1/2 inch of snow with very heavy looking snow clouds. Lightening all last night but no thunder.

Had planned to go to Dublin via Kentstown, Balrath & Ashbourne {N2}, Whitehall. Anyone any idea what the roads are like and is Dublin worse? What's the predicted weather for the areas?

Disgraceful forecast from Met Eireann. Not a mention of snow anywhere in Munster. They dropped the ball on this. Surely they were looking at the radar.

    27 November 2010 05:03

    Today
Showers of hail, sleet and snow, some thundery, will affect east Leinster, much of Ulster, as well as north and west Connaught today. Other areas will be mainly dry and bright but widespread frost, along with icy stretches and patches of freezing fog, will clear only slowly. Highest temperatures 2 to 4 degrees Celsius. Winds moderate to fresh, northeast to north, increasing strong and gusty in the north and northwest.

After a calm start to the day, wind really gusting outside. Snowing moderately but the wind makes it look like a blizzard at times.

And the report from just outside Arklow

    What a morning!
    What a night
Snow on and off all night, theres about 3 level inches in the yard outside.
The lightning and thunder got real bad again around 530am and at 8am a big flash and bang put out the electricity

    I love my generator 011.gif

Still snowing but with a mix of hail and sleet and theres a thaw
    Temp is 0.4c
    DP is zero
No wind so I guess the ambient sea temp is sleeting the precip a bit

Heavy enough hail coming down periodically here. Right on the coastline. Sky looking omnious. Fairly strong gusts too.
