He's only a county councillor but Luke Flanagan.

    He's such a wanker though

    A man of principles.

He told more lies than most. Bigging up Hitler = Not cool

    Tony Gregory.

This is a perfect example of an oxymoran. The words "honest" and "politician" do not belong in the same sentence.

Richard Bruton seems like a stand up guy. I like how Ivan Yates has no problem speaking his mind on the radio, but I guess he doesn't count as he is not in politics anymore.

Eamon Gilmore is the most honest party leader IMO.

He can be a bit mentally unstable at times though

Ask anyone down Roscommon way and there's only one answer you'll get - Luke 'Ming' Flanagan.

Whether you agree with him or not the guy is honest. As a result I strongly suspect he'll run in the next election and top the poll.

Anyone can be honest when they don't say anything much.

Gerry 'I did not know that my brother was raping my niece' Adams?

Being fair, it's not likely he knew about that.

His track record is still the best I think.

That's the independent yeah? No offence, but to me he's just a slightly less loathsome version of Jackie Healy Rae.

In the same way that chalk is like cheese ....yeh right.

FMG voluntarily took the 10% paycut straight away, more than I can say for the rest of them.

Dr James O'Reilly seems to be the most passionate, not sure how honest he is because he stitched me up when my leg was badly bleeding one time.

With all the talking and shouting going on between the politicians, which one for you (any party or independent) stands out, for his/her honesty and straight forwardness in talking plain english that we all understand.

The only honest politician is a dead one, as they roll of a politician seems to be to spew lies with every breath, etc.

Also, he has published his expenses and Dail attendance records on his website for everyone to see for quite some time now.

Withdrew his support for the current government following the 2008 budget I believe, far more dignified than Jackie Healy Rae jumping from a sinking ship at the last minute.

Finian McGrath publishes all his expenses, i admire him for that, its a pity he's been voting with the Govt for the last number of years despite all the flyers he sends to his constitutents dissing the government.

no doubt when election comes about he'll be forgetting the fact he's helped keep the muppets in power for so long.

He withdrew his support in 2008.

Since then he claims to have voted purely within the best interests of his constituents.
He has voted against them too.

As mentioned earlier, I believe Brian Lenihan to be a man of high integrity and decency. I don't think it was fully understood just how much of a mess the banks were in until it was too late. Lenihan was passed the poisoned chalice and told to deal with it.
I have even more respect for him if rumours of him leading a breakaway FF party are true.

I honestly thought the thread was titled - The most horniest politician?

While not the best grammar, it probably would have been a more positive thread.
