Damien should be beating himself up for not leaving her for Neasa...

I have just gained a lot of respect for Mark. It's not right in either case but he done the right thing, she deserved that the cow.

i shouted at the telly i was so happy that she was finally caught by someone else! poor damien.. he's in tatters!
excellent acting by (cal) mark also i must say... i loved the bit at the end.......
and hear philip "you could tell if you looked at him... but nobody looked at him"

    great episode!

ah I think this Damo/Suzanne story has gone on too long, and is not really believable any more... Not that it really was in the first place.. Actors are only passable, Mark version 2.0 isnt great..

I really liked new Mark tonight. I couldn't stand that old Mark. Whiney and crappy actor.
Found the new Mark fairly believable tonight.

Dont say that too loud. Same with a few more.

Phew I am so relieved that Suzanne has been found out. I was exhausted after watching the last few episodes. If it had carried on any longer I would have to start taking vitamins. I thought tonight was brilliant. Loved Mark tonight, thought Damien was amazing again. Dying to see Bela grovel and Suzanne get her comeuppance. Philip has some hilarious lines, there is real depth to his character and it will be interesting to see where the writers go with him.

Go Dean! Great watching him do the big march over to the house & rounding up Team Damo to come to Damien's aid :D

IMO, I kinda would cringe everytime Suzanne was giving Damien atitude. Bad acting outta her tbh.

Mark.....Mint.....still cant get over him and his sexy threats :D:D:D:D:D

    I would
    I will

Still waiting for Suzanne's attempted infidelity to come out.

    Grrrrr!

Finally she got found out!! Fair play to Dean and Mark, wonder if Mark did batter Suzanne she might look better than she does now?
Thought Suzanne burning herself with the lighter was a bit over the top

Glad that b*tch was found out, but annoyed that stupid Bella still thinks Damien was abusing her.
The lighter thing was a bit OTT, she said he done it to her last night, but it was obviously a fresh burn! :p
Glad seeing her being inti midated by Mark- not so nice when the shoe is on the other foot, eh, Suzanne?!

It was desperation from Suzanne. She was at her lowest and did anything to make herself look better.

Great episode though and brilliant acting from Sarah & Mac once again. I was so glad Dolores found out the truth, great acting from her also :)

    I love Philip!!

Can someone clarify why Dermot and Jo were worried about what Philip saw in the pub. Did one of his parents beat the other or him maybe??

Fair City is the lamest soap RTE has ever produced. It has crap production values, dire acting, and dull storylines. It is so parochial minded, with nothing original, and full of stagey performances, how it has lasted so long is beyond belief.

completely agree - I don't usually watch this anymore because most of the time I was switching to other channels when the likes of charlie, that caz idiot, bela, and the taxi company owner, niamh, came on - couldn't bear to watch them. However have been watching a good storyline over the past couple of weeks - but Im sure once this is over it will go back to being the worst program on tv. The acting is atrocious. and they need some new faces. Get rid of half the cast and liven it up a bit.

i can't wait for bela to grovel also because of the way he was going on about giving damien a taste of his own medicine via the bishops!

i thought the bit about jo and dermot being concerned over philip seemed out of place too.. but i'm sure it will come to light why soon.

is it only neasa and louie that know about suzanne trying it on with louie?

Really enjoyed last nights episode, though dont get the philip character at all. Just dont see the point of his endless sulking.
Thought Mark was brilliant at the end, really like that side of him.
Loved the scenes with Dolores and Damien, found them really moving.... Suzanne has Bela to mind her but Damien has no one.

    Here is his background:

Philip O'Connor arrives at Jo and Dermot's home, a damaged 15 year old boy whose world, so far, has been a succession of disappointments. He has spent a great deal of his young life in foster care. Repeatedly mistreated by his parents, he is initially withdrawn; slow to trust, and cynical about adults and authority figures.

Philip was born in 1995 and has been in and out of care since childhood. Philip adored his father, despite the man's heroin addiction and when he died when Philip was five, Philip was devastated. Philip was left to the mercy of his mother, a habitual drunk. Philip's life revolves around either living with his mother, or being placed in emergency foster care when his mother is hospitalised for alcohol related illnesses and injuries.

They wanted to protect him because he has seen a lot of upset in his life and especially being in a pub because his mother is an alcoholic.

Oh ok so there hasnt been any mention of abuse yet?? Perhaps this is going to lead us to another storyline about how philip was abused maybe??

Really enjoyed last nights episode and i really was near tears when Dean and dolorus found Damien, was so real. I LOVED mark at the end with suzanne very angry a little bit of his father coming out of him. They should bring back Damien and Marks sister (laura??) to sort out suzanne :D

If they got another actress to play the part, I think it'd be great to have the character back, but not the same actress.

I like Philip, quite a lot, I think he is a good character and I love the warm side it brings out of Jo & Dermot.

He interacts really well with other characters and his dry wit appeals to me :)

Does anyone know if Fair City give much work to "extras". I saw this article/advert today mentioning tv extra work - they say "do you fancy having a pint in McCoys in Fair City".

      http://www.jobsguideireland.com/work-as-a-film-or-tv-extra-in-ireland/

Anyone here tried it - or know anyone that has?
