What a fight last night!Jab,jab,upper-cut,jab, knockout!!!She wont forget my ****ing dinner in a hurry again!

I got in trouble with the wife last night. She asked me where I would like to be buried.Apparently balls deep in her sisters arse wasn't an appropriate answer

There are calls for Audley Harrison to not receive his £1m purse.I disagree. After that fight, a purse would suit him perfectly.

My wife is so clumsy sometimes. She somehow managed to get a black eye just by trying to change channels on the tv.Weird

Quick question for you knowledgeable folks. Is http://www.cdwow.ie/ any good? Reliable? :)

Ordered from them years ago, three CDs arrived in less that 3 days, IIRC.
WINNN!!! They have Three Days Grace stuff!

Their prices seem pretty good and they offer free shipping on a lot of things. Thought it might be one of those "too good to be true" ones ;)

FPS%20Vest.jpgLads this may be old news to some of you but I thought I'd pop it up for those of us who don't game as much.
I'm no gamer. It's not that I don't like playing video/PC games. I just don't make enough time for them, and—alright—I'm crap at them. But if I were really into gaming, I'd want one of these3rd space FPS Vests Designed by a physician (who apparently was going to use it for medical exams via telepresence, according to coolest gadgets the vests simulate the impact of punches, gunshots, stabbing, and other bodily harm from a FPS (first person shooter) game. It works with modern warfare and seemingly you can even feel the breeze of near misses to give you an idea of other players direction.

The vest is said to feature eight pressure areas in which to feel these simulations, and you're also able to feel the touch of another player in the game. Like a tap on the shoulder in one of the horror games, Now that's creepy.

I would never use them again. I had a load of trouble on a good few of orders a few years ago with them. I was waiting months for items that were "in stock", and with little to no communication. Wrong prices etc. Then claiming they never had said items for sale or at those listed prices. Pick any dodgy reason from a list they could get away with.

    Bunch of chancers IMO.

I can safely say I will never own one of these for several reasons.

    1) It looks ridiculous. It'd only look more ridiculous if it was in Multicam.
    2) I've heard of these before, and of even more exaggerated claims about how much force they exert and how testers "OMG ENDED UP WITH BRUISES EVERYWHERE" etc, despite it being capable of nothing of the sort.
    3) I'm unlikely to find a use for it playing Madden or Company of Heroes.
    4) Seriously, how ridiculous would you feel putting that thing on to sit in front of your tv?

    And, most importantly,

    5) If I want an immerisive experience of combat, in which I can fire an array of different rifles and pistols at other players and feel the impact of each time they fire at me, without being killed, and while wearing a vest during the entire ordeal, I'll probably just go for a skirmish...

Ha Ha your right on all counts but you have to admit it's a good concept for those people that play those type of games, I personally don't play "computer games" hope this is the right term but I'm sure it would make the games like modern warfare a bit more exciting
O and I think you can get it in ACU and black :)
and as for point 4. cant be any worse than standing in your front room jumping around or trying to dance or for that matter having a little steering wheel sitting infront of your telly driving a sports car ha ha

Maybe I'm alone here, but on the rare occasion I get time to play a computer game, I'll be sitting on my ass in a comfortable chair (you can already tell Kinect and PS Move are not high on my list of wants). I don't fancy spending my precious few hours off being punched in the chest by digitised images on my tv. If I want to be punched in chest on my day off, I'll go for a game of rugby.

Gamers: the only social construct aggresively trying to find ways to feel like they're being active while sitting in a chair doing nothing.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23,141 ✭✭✭✭TheDoc

    Wouldnt be interested myself either.

I enjoy sitting backin a chair enjoying my shooters. And on the PC, I play pretty competitively and at relatively high enough levels. That sort of thing would just annoy me and make gaming uncomfortable.

Not a runner , unless some mad new kinect shooter comes out

How many fatal accidents due to speed have there been on the long mile road? This camera system is going to be a nice little earner.
