M50 - Cherrywood Exit

Does anyone know what's going on with the Cherrywood exit (J16) on the M50? Last week and today have been a mission to get through it. :( Is it roadworks or something on N11?? It's never normally like this.

Today there was a crash on the Wyatville road it at the first estate on the left as your heading away from cherrywood, it was finally cleared about 8.45 but there was guards there diverting traffic thats prob what today was.
not to sure about last week though,

it slows up from time to time when traffic is heavy further up where the 2 lanes merge to one. also sometimes there are check points on the road backing up traffic.
