I'm sick of coming into AH and finding thread after thread of doom and gloom about the recession, the government and the general state of the country.

AH is where I come to get away from all that crap. It's the spiritual home of bullsh*t and nonsense and thats the way it should stay.

So with that said can be please ban all doom and gloom talk from AH and stick it in politics or even start a new doom and gloom forum where all the scaremongers can post?

I'd vote for no recession/we're fucked threads allowed while the christmas threads are here. So after Nov 25 a moratorium on the gloom?

    Alcohol helps.
I do agree though. No major moderator initiative required here. No new forum. No mega thread. No topic bans. Just cheer the fuck up After Hours for fucks sake.

In the next budget, there is going to be a €250 flat rate charge introduced on misery.

But what about those of us who have our own private supply?

Plenty of repetitive threads that come up in AH annoy me, just a case of ignoring them.

Christmas has been cancelled by the government due to the recession and the general state of the economy at this time.
Normal service will resume in 10 - 12 years.
    Thank you, please come again.

    :D

OP, you make a good point and one we will discuss.

But for now, this just another doom and gloom thread.

    Cool story, bro.
That wasn't a story. It was a statement.

Anyway, I'm fairly certain that the AH mods copuld ban threads about the recession until a few days before the budget, and then give everyone a week to tear the budget apart, and then ban any further economy/ government related threads until after Christmas.

Have a mega thread instead of a new thread every day telling us how we're all doomed, going to prison to get fúcked in the arse for not paying our mortgages/ student registration fees, going to starve because of fuel prices and all the other fúcking doom and gloom.

Also, anal probes instead of infractions for anyone who starts a new doom and gloom thread.
    Make is so, AH mods.

It's because you have constantly given out about all things Irish since you joined boards.
Then you moved to England and continued to whine, even about the good stuff.
That's my take on it anyway.

Eh? You are mixing him up with somebody else etc etc and so on and so forth.

    Yes I locked it.

Then i was forced to reopen it by dr's who shall remain nameless <_< <_< >_> >_> :P

How come two seasoned posters have totally misinterpreted the meaning of "Cool story, bro" in response to a post about boring and repetitive posts?

Is it so irritating that it overrides everything else? On reflection, probably.
