College work is creeping up on me. I don't like it!
I've a lot of work to do in order to pass my exams in January.
But then ... I am going to Venice after them so it's a good motivator! :D:D:D

    scrooge invented January exams :(

I was in Venice for a day before, the heat and crowds killed me there but it's probably a lot better the time of year you're going.

*btw everyone check out veggie meet-up thread * :)

Better that you knew nothing about it then, proper surprise:D

Exams...well I've only had one so far, got 33/50 marks so not bad for a useless subject I dont care about. Tough ones are Tues (Anatomy) and Thurs (Cell Biology) so they really concern me...head shall be firmly down until Tues afternoon and the first is out of the way (and it's negative marking scheme >.<).

Enjoy your dinner, in your wellies-that-you-call-boots-but-are-really-wellies :pac::D:pac:

Once you work hard you'll do great! Confidence is so important going into exams! Whats a negative marking scheme?
Darren these boots are a thing of beauty and should never be compared to
rubber wellington boots one would wear shovelling pig poo!!

I just can't appreciate wellies boots the same way women can :pac:

Negative marking means that for example: this exam I've got has 25 multiple choice questions, and I get 15 correct and 10 wrong...normally I would get the mark for 15 correct and that is it. But with this type of marking, I would have 15 correct, minus the marks for having 10 wrong, so I essentially have marks for 5 right answers!

Yes, utterly annoying way of doing things...and that lecturer told us that she expects failure rates of at least 50%, because that's the norm for the anatomy mid-term:eek:

    How was dinner?

Boots are worth wearing. Wellies are not. So please don't call boots wellies >_< We're not (all) living on a farm.

I'm actually fine, no job answers or anything but parents transferred money, yay, and nasty upcoming cold of yesterday was obviously fought successfully as is practically gone (stayed in bed and had peppermint tea with lemon, always works and things turn out so much less nasty..)
besides the fact that yesterday the fire alarm was mental and gave a BEEP every two minutes. hoped it would end itself for two hours, but when thoughts about homi-/suicide got too much I went out into the hall and beat the **** out of the ****ing thing. which worked. yay for violence against technical devices :pac:
