Things started to go pear shaped from 2002, if we could turn back the clock to that 02 election, would Noonan have been a better leader ?

Realistically, any reply to this question will be little more than pure supposition. If you'd like to start a new thread with something more, actually making a case for it, you might have a discussion but in the absence of that, there's nothing to work with here.

It's the duty of every opening poster on a thread in Politics to make an effort to give birth to a discussion so that's something that has to be borne in mind when starting a new thread.
