Funny man. Very hard to be seen if you're stuck in the middle of a large crowd.

I'm ****ing hilarious. Sounds like the students around him are being very helpful too if the best he could do was ask for help on twitter rather than them helping him to the edge.

As much as I disagree with the protest it's a pity in a way to see it end like this, but maybe the Student Unions will grow up a little bit from it.

I wonder how many students made the ultimate sacrifice and threw their last ROLO, at the coppers:rolleyes:

I never know whether to take this board seriously or not.

I will assume that this was meant for comedic purposes.

I knew there would be trouble when i saw the SWP hanging around and handing out flyers earlier. Another peaceful protest hijacked by the anarchists!

No doubt there will be plenty of them partying with the coppers in coppers tonight.

Usual Socialist Workers Party false flaggers responsible for the aggro. A tiny element compared to the thousands of peaceful protesters.

Fúcking ridiculous. Do they really think that throwing things at a building which will have to be cleaned using taxpayer money is a good idea?

The Hearld will be all over this later on.

Fair play to the students about time someone got up and made some ****ing noise about this.

It's high time that excessive zaniness became a capital offence.

    Enough is enough.

Okay, I'm against what the students are doing here but is that the best you could come up with?

Don't get your knickers in a twist. Harney has been seen picking up all the mars bars while muttering "nom nom nom nom" to herself.

I'm not arguing the fact that the violence shouldn't have happened, I'm just stating what I'm being told here, and he has the brains to do what he can to get help.

"That's my parents money that I could've spent on beer your taking...and for what? An education? I dont even go to my lectures." *throws mars bar and beer can*

Shouldn't they be in student places doing stuff students do?

Clearly he doesn't if his chosen form of communication is twitter.

Trust me, unless its a higher college or not a great university in some weird area, the prices for student accom are pretty expensive in the UK. Or you want to live in crap hole.

Plus the fact that the UK fees are set to hit £9K in 2012. (its around £3k now)

All this bull**** about people saying the UK is cheaper. Its not.

People aren't going to immigrate from Ireland to go to some European country to get free/cheap fees, do you really think Mr 18 year old John Smith will go to France or Holland, Sweeden or Norway where he can't really speak the lingo, not knowing a soul just to get free/cheap uni? Bull****.

When the fees go up, people will just need to find a way to get the money to pay for it if they can't afford. Parents/Grants/Jobs/loans.

    exactly.
3rd level education in the UK is a hell of a lot more expensive than here.

as for finding a way to cope, the pubs and clubs are wedged with students on Wednesday and Thursday nights.
I know there are plenty that don't have the money to go out, but there's a hell of a lot more with money to go out, who could easily afford an extra thousand in reg fees.

can't afford fee's but can afford to be drinking cans of a wed afternoon?

so it's too loud for the emergency services to hear what's he's saying to them, yet he's also in the middle of a crowd where they can't see him (yet are somehow managing to talk to him), so he's asking for help for his injuries on Twitter.

    have i got that right?

Well talking about it on twitter ain't the way to do it.

You have no idea how much I loathe those kind of people. At least once a week in the computer room I'll hear a few girls saying how broke they are then follow it up with what they did the previous weekend and how they'll only be able to go out once the weekend coming. While sipping their 2.50 cup of coffee.
