There are far more effective ways to seriously undermine the Government which are within the Law and 100% legal and NON VIOLENT. If you are male, over 30yrs of age and would like to stand up against this disgrace of a Government/System then send me a pm with a mobile no I can call. I will be calling interested eligible men in early Oct.

See my post in the politics forum.

Change is in the air and Sligo will play its part;)

Ladies will be required for strike two!

any ideas regarding a peaceful non violent non assault protest hitting home hard on our gombeen incapable politicans?

First thought I had was to with hold mortgage payments to Irish based banks and withdrawn our bank accounts to Irish based but non government bank bailed banks - Ulster Bank or German banks ala the Farmers groups

    what do you think?

Biting off your nose to spite your face springs to mind. If Irish banks have runs on them it's really curtains for the economy.

We can remove and replace the government in a few months time by walking to your local primary school, marking a piece of paper with a few numbers and dropping it into a box. But that's too hard for too many people, so we end up with crap governments that we as a nation deserve.

People need to WRITE to their politicians, not hurl abuse at them like a lunatic. When a politician receives little or no feedback from anyone, they lose touch. Feedback here does not mean "Dear x, please help me get planning permission/pothole fixed/hip replaced", it means "Dear x, I believe your performance as y has been sub par because...., please get your act together or I'll vote for someone else next time".

Most people NEVER contact their political representatives. It's no wonder we have such poor ones tbh.
