Yesterday Gibson had an important revolution in guitar music to unvail in the Hard Rock Cafe in NY. Retail $5500.

Here is a demo of it.

I would honestly prefer $5500 worth of plastic surgery on my anus.

    Honestly.

    Here are some REAL Firebirds...

    '66 non-reverse Firebird

    '76 reverse Firebird

    '64 Firebird I (I really want this! :o)

There is no comparison possible between these and the monstrosity in the first post. These guitars are in a whole other league.

    This would also suffice. :pac:

Wow, whats with Gibson and their horrible horrible designs for "new" guitars. Or should I say mutations of original models.

And wtf, Hannah Montana??

Hate the look of the thing, hate the ridiculous price, and I wouldn't buy a new Gibson anyway, but some of the technology in that thing is pretty cool. I think their problem is, they make all these 'innovations' but don't leave them open-source enough.

They also make any guitar with innovations cost about 3 times as much as a guitar without...

    Phil is the man.
His red Firebird on the inside sleeve of "For Your Pleasure" (1973?!!) was my first ever object of GAS

Edit: Here's what I'm talking about....

In fairness, the shape is not any uglier than the original. :P There are lots of overpriced ugly guitars out there (hell, probably most of them). It all seems like a bit of an over-reaction, particularly the comments on the gibson site.

Perhaps Gibson should have put that money into quality control instead of building this Fisher Price my - first - guitar/ Wii controller
