which macbook for HD editing?

    hi all!

    i'm looking to buy a macbook pro and need to do HD editing in FCP on it. could anyone tell me if the i5 processor and 4GB ram is adequate for this? or should i go for the i7 and 8GB specs?

    You would benefit a lot from the i7 and the extra RAM and working with multimedia is the situation in which you will benefit most. However that's not to say that the i5 won't get the job done, it will just take longer, so its up to go whether your budget can stretch to it or not. If it was me I would definitely go for the i7.
