Remember at school, we all had a theory that their was no actual dj in atlantic 252, that it was all on a loop tape recorder, same songs over and over again, a bit like radio nova nowadays! (though they play DECENT music over and over again)

    Radio Luxembourg ftw.
Brilliant listening to 5 seconds of a song, missing 5 seconds, then it coming back in for...you guessed it...5 seconds.

They had a "non-stop rhythm and dance" format until they closed in about 2002. They were replaced by a station called Team Talk and now it's Radio 1 Extra.

I didnt think it was possible to get a worse morning show than Colm and Jim Jim but your man is actually more annoying.

    "Dreamer" Living Joy
    "Saturday Night" Whigfield
and anything by the All Saints:rolleyes:

    Oh memories.....

He used to do the Adrian Kennedyesque night show on Cork's Red Fm before being moved to the morning slot, was pretty poor stuff to be honest.

Used to listen to it on the way out at weekends.

Also used to listen to BBC Radio 1, you could get it on FM if you had cablelink, thats when Radio 1 was good, Steve Wright in the afternoon, Mark and Lard etc...

Fecking Dj's on LW Atlantic 252 were bastards for talking over the start and end of the songs. Made it very hard to record the songs onto tape
