I am disgusted by this.

These guys can earn huge salaries to manage the portfolios they messed up on and cost the taxpayer millions

Was there open tendering for these roles?? Did they have to submit cv's, do interviews?

Another story in the SB post tells of how developers are not bothering to pay interest to NAMA on loans. Naturally, NAMA is not shutting them down or forcing them in to bankruptcy. An additional annoyance is that developers are claiming tax relief on this interest even thhough they are not paying it. Story here.

None of this is surprising. It was all predicted on this forum that NAMA would turn out to be a developer bailout in addition to being a bank bailout.

Note that officially NAMA claims to be neither a developer bailout. It may come as a surprise to some that NAMA claims not to be a bank bailout either.

You can see why the bond markets treat Ireland with contempt.

They can earn up to 200k if they hand everything else over to NAMA etc. These people probably have pensions worth 5million plus so why would they hand it over. I may not be entirerly correct about this but remember stories like this are coming out everyday and sometimes I wonder are all the facts correct.
