The lotto in NZ last weekend was $28 million. That's about €14 million. It was won by a pig hunter who lived up the top of the north island. The funny part of it is he waited 6 hours to tell his wife they'd won after he realiased. Can you imagine keeping that a secret from your other half for even 6 minutes? You just know he was thinking about not telling her and doing a legger.

£113 euromillions apparently won last week by somebody in Coventry who hasn't come foreward and unless it's a syndicate , who would blame them but something as big as this will eventually surface and be made public .

FFS is it won in Darndale or Ballybeg or Blackpool? No, its won by some wealthy person in Donnybrook.

Have won a quite few times on the 3 number selection on Irish lotto +1 , 2 in the bookies .

    £1 on 3 numbers = £600 in Ladbrokes .

Yeah it has to be fixed for a win.

Not saying that the winner is fixed, but the timing of these things is more than coincidental.

I mean EVERY bank holiday it is built up and won.

I've done that several times and have won zilch. Will keep trying though! Disgusted with a D4 winner.

I mean EVERY bank holiday it is built up and won.

    that's not true on the
31st July bank holiday it was €2.7m and not won
5th June bank holiday it was €5.4m and not won
3rd April Easter bank holiday it was €12.3m and not won

I have 3 numbers which I remain faithful to and these would be the numbers that have come up for me several times . I juggle around a bit with other sets of 3 numbers and a 25p bet , 3 numbers, on any 3 lines if it comes up still pays out £145

    Prejudiced are we?

There are plenty of poor people in D4 you know!

I'm sure that there are. However I'm also sure that not a hell of a lot of them would be shopping in Donnybrook Fair TBH.

Dump 99% of the money into a couple of funds and you'd be set for life.

Wouldn't it depend on who the fund managers are? I wouldn't give some of those guys monopoly money to play with.

Wasn't it a €30 quickpick? hopefully its a syndicate then.

I saw the RTE report earlier, that shop looked very expensive and the people in it well groomed. :(

They spent 30 euro on a quick pick, so money is not an issue. I hate it when someone who almost certainly doesn't need a dig out wins.

Yeah, and begrudgery my hole. I'd be delighted if it was a person who could do with the money.

Same here, the Lotto is a voluntary tax on the poor giving false hope where the odds are pathetic for a poor person to win something.

At least with the bookie lotto, the odds are hugely favourable for a poor person to win as they would have better chances of financial enhancement from the shorter odds. Won't stop rich people winning though unless we bar them ;)
