I use the x3's for the xbox , and the px21's for ps3 , ive played 24 hours of cod on the ps3 maybe more and thats all i used the px21's for , i dont liked wired headsets, but yeah they are good.
I'll use the sharks for both when i get them.

why do you not like the wired ? Is the cable short as **** or what lol

also - how much do you want :pac:

The cables more than long enough (for me anyways). I know it's kinda of akward at times, but I'd prefer the superior headset with a wire than a dodgy wireless official ps3 one.

It defeats the purpose of having a wireless joypad and a wired headset for me . i'm just used to wireless headsets.
    The cable is long ,

I'll let them go for 40 with a fiver back for good luck ;)

Some of the things I'd ditch:

    1) the nuke killstreak, utterly pointless.
    2) quickscoping
    3) crap spawning, ie: right infront of 3 badguys
    4) throwing knife
    5) X2 1887's/rangers, ruined the game for a while till it was patched.

what I would like to see is more game modes (like assault in UT) and more ephasis weapon/gear customisation. Options to filter out game modes eg: no killstreaks, pistols only, no radar ect. Finally, dedicated servers! Fired up MW1 there a while ago for the laugh and still finds games way quicker.

I know dropshotting is gone, the rest aren't :(

Absolutely no reason why dropshotting should be taken out. It's a mechanic of the game to give you an edge, we may as well take out sprinting in that case.

I wish they'd go back to the COD4 method of killstreaks i.e. only one in the air at once.

Noobtubes need to go, it was ridiculous for a while playing hardcore hq.

    One Man Army

Tactical insertions, why did they bring them back??!!

    Commando pro

Basically all the stuff that has been said already in this thread. Im still debating whether or not to buy this game, MW2 pissed me off so much some times. Anyone else in the same boat?

Its a mechanic that gets abused something serious in competitive play(And in public games, you just dont see it as much).... noobtubing/oma is a mechanic of the game, shall we leave that in too ? There is a point where drop shotting just becomes silly, if everyone was doing it (Its not a skill btw, any 5 year old can do it) imagine what TDM/Dom would be like ? Everyone would be crawling around licking the ****ing floor.

I like how its sounding for blackop's, you can still drop as long as your not sprinting, which will sort of counteract people that have it programmed into their brain to drop every chance they get.

Most people couldn't give a flying fcuk about competitive play tbf. Personally I don't see much drop shotting in any of the cods I play. For me, there is no better feeling then getting a kill through a drop shot :p

If they did get rid of it, I probably wouldn't buy black ops tbh

Don't see the issue with dropshotting though I've switched away from the Tactical layout in anticipation of BO.

Dropshotting took me a while to get used to so I'd say it's a skill. TBH I find that it's mostly people who can't do it that complain about it.

And some people do care about it, quite a large amount of the PC community in fairness and a decent number in both xbox and ps3.

You should try wacking one out then :)

Well its already pretty well known what they've changed. Im fine with it, like i said, i sometimes drop shot, i just dont rely on it.

No, it took you a while to get used to the tac layout... its as much of a skill as reloading is.

Its a good thing i can do it then, so im in the minority yes ?

I think the best thing they could have done was change the tac layout so that you cant aim and drop at the same time.

I was actually using the tactical layout for a while, just took a bit of a transition to remember to use the two analogue sticks. :p Most of the time I'd end up wildly shooting in the air until I got the hang of it.

If you can do it but you don't, I'd generally question why. It just seems silly that if you run into someone and you both shoot, yet you can fall to the ground for the advantage ... why not do it? It's not unfair, it's just sensible IMO.

I do do it, just not every single time i see an enemy(I dont use the tac layout). You've obviously never played against a group of players that pre-fire-drop-shoot. It is without a doubt the most anoying thing possible in the game.

IMO, it is an unfair advantage, most people that play cod are casual gamers and probably don't even know what drop shotting is and have never even noticed that there is another button layout, i know i didnt know about it until about 3 months after i started playing and i've been playing competitive shooters for a long time. keep everything even imo, being forced to use a different layout in order to be competitive is not a good way to balance the game.

Nope, I haven't so can't comment there. As for most CoD players being casual, strongly disagree with that. Complete opposite for most players, and if a casual players jumps into a CoD lobby then they'll have other things to worry about than dropshotting.

you having a four bar in nearly every game you play is an unfair advantage, but hey, that's cod.

Why, it also means knifing someone is harder then with the normal layout.

It's like saying someone using stopping power has an unfair advantage when you are using cold blooded.

A lot of things can be used to an unfair advantage in MW2, but being able to drop and shoot is one of the things that help keep this game so fast paced.

Saying all that, if all they have done is stop the ability to instantly drop and shoot coming out of a sprint, that sounds like a fair compromise for me.

Most of all lets hope we dont end up paying for the worst of the MW2 maps in Black ops, although i bet we will.
