3 Wireless Broadband, about 6km south of Cashel.
Service has improved of late, though it's still rather unreliable.

On UPC 15mb, wireless. About 10 metres from the router with some thick walls between.

Imagine Breeze 4MB Navan, been rock solid for 3 years now, can't complain and won't be switching to WIMAX even though they want me to and it's cheaper.

The packet loss is caused by the flood control on your router swtich it off and you will get an A.26322055.png

    Happy reading.http://www.upc.ie/pdf/4755_UPC_WiFi_Brochure.pdf

Type 192.168.1.1. into the address bar of your browser to log into the router.

Go to wireless settings and turn off the firewall.
I am not sure weather you need to have a wired connection to do this or not.

Eircom NGB. Eircom said my line can handle 5 Megs. Speed is consistent throughout the day.

My line can only handle 7Mb. I was getting closer to that speed 12 months ago (with a 6Mb package).

    UPC Waterford 30Mb

I can never hit the full 30Mb that i see some people getting.

    Downloading Ubuntu i get between 2.6 & 3.2 Mb/s however.

Permanet have come a long way. Pings have nearly halved in the past month and last year used to be 80ms!

Same here, very noticeable change the last day or two on my 15Mb pack. These results are doublely better than earlier on believe it or not. Must be something going on all right...

Here is my speeds from Imagine Wimax. I am paying for 7Mb. This is the speed usually, the speeds are never consistent.

    1004520097.png

    Here is the ping test,

    26772697.png

I usually get an F on pingtest, one of the best results ever received. Not consistent at all. Service is ridiculous. Contract up in december, UPC here I come, downloaded torrentz in mates house and its literally lightning fast speeds.
