Crossing my legs like that crushes my balls. Thats reason enough not to do it.

Ditto... I can sit with one of my ankles propped up on my opposite knee, but that's about it. To try and sit like that would result in sqaushed balls and a limp...

My brother does it all the time. He then starts shaking/tapping his foot in the air. Annoying isn't the word for it

Longer in the limb, flexible in the hip and not carrying extra weight either in muscle or fat probably makes the diff. I find it comfortable myself. I remember this coming up in convo with mates of mine and the scrawny guys could do it easy enough. I did notice on the back of that old B&W movies you would see cary grant and the like do it. Maybe because more men are bigger and wearing jeans that's why less do it?

    Probably, damn muscular legs!;)

seriously though I do think it depends on many things, myself and my dad have the same leg length etc but he does it and I can't. if I try my leg going over starts cramping - nothing to do with the others on here reasons!

maybe its the cycling & rugby etc that has my muscles trained a certain way.

I cross my legs. Its comfy and you can rest one leg at a time and take the weight off.

Also, anyone who says it crushes their manhood. If it was big enough it should dangle below your thighs and not get crushed. Either that or its cold out.

Never thought much about it until one day I was in the Dail gallery and saw Willy O'Dea with his legs crossed at an extreme angle that should not have been anatomically possible.

It takes a real man to know how to cross his legs.

I don't see the problem with it.
What I do hate is guys sitting with about 5 miles between their knees (like the pic earlier), especially on bus seats.. Your balls aren't that big, fcuk off.

Balls don't grow at knee level. It's all proportional.

Obligatory knees well apart, with frequent scratching and rearranging of balls for all guys. Plain grey shirts and the only drink permitted is Guinness, by the pint, of course. Interest in Golf, the Rugger, the Premier League and Horse Racing gambling is, of course, de rigueur.

I'm just off to shave the legs and have a Baileys on ice...

I find it a bit ghey to be honest if guys do it or else its just a bit of comfort or just to hide something. I have no problems with men and women doing so in general though. I've a habit of crossing my legs most of the time! I'm a woman though.

Its just not possible, I can stick my toe in my ear but I can't cross my legs like that, closest I can do is crossing just above the ankles.

I really don't care like. Whichever position an individual person wishes to sit is their business, who gives a crap what others think. I sit mostly in the meditation position, does anyone care, eh no!!

Seriously I don't get peoples issues with guys sitting legs crossed, there's ALOT of females (worldwide) who sit in the traditional 'man's position' with their legs wide open (nobody throw out the 'slut' joke here please) and there's no discrimination on that. So why discriminate on a guy wanting to cross his legs, surely it's UP TO HIM

FYI to the people throwing it out there & I'm sure there's been one, I haven't read through other peoples opinions yet.. but It doesn't class him to be gay - oh Christ the amount of small minded fools who use that as their defense in a debate, phahahahaha ;).
its all about body language if a woman sits with legs open it screams "i am open for business come and have a go if you're hard enough"
likewise if a man sits with his legs crossed it screams "i am gay gay gay"
    that is all:cool:

I'm serious when I say that I find it frankly terrifying that people actually spend time considering issues like this.

    Does it?

Body language and how you carry yourself in public can send different messages to different people.

One person will look at a guy crossing his legs like that and automatically think "that's kinda gay/female looking" while another will look and not notice anything unusual. It doesn't mean that either person is right or wrong. That way of sitting has generally been regarded as something a woman or gay man would most likely do so you can't really blame someone for seeing it that way.

How many straight guys do you see walking around with their hands on their hips and pouting like female catwalk models?

    Zero.
