Guys crossing their legs?

Right,

I've had this debate once or twice the past couple of days, so I'd like to throw it out to you folks.

What do you think of a guy who, while sitting, crosses his legs one knee over the other, as in the attached photo.

Do you do it? Do you think men shouldn't? Let's debate!

It looks feminine when guys do that, one of my friends did it once to take the piss and he ended up squashing his balls and got all teary.

It is completely unacceptable as it has an extremely detrimental effect on the lives of those around the perpetrator. I also think legislation should be passed that forbids men to have long hair, wear tight jeans or beclothe themselves in apparel of a hue most unfitting of their sex.

I just can't do it - I wonder at those you can & do they practice to get the flexibility or is it just some men have the ability and others don't!!?

I really don't care like. Whichever position an individual person wishes to sit is their business, who gives a crap what others think. I sit mostly in the meditation position, does anyone care, eh no!!

Seriously I don't get peoples issues with guys sitting legs crossed, there's ALOT of females (worldwide) who sit in the traditional 'man's position' with their legs wide open (nobody throw out the 'slut' joke here please) and there's no discrimination on that. So why discriminate on a guy wanting to cross his legs, surely it's UP TO HIM

FYI to the people throwing it out there & I'm sure there's been one, I haven't read through other peoples opinions yet.. but It doesn't class him to be gay - oh Christ the amount of small minded fools who use that as their defense in a debate, phahahahaha

Crossing at the ankles would probably be easier than crossing at the calf muscles. If you have room put one foot across the other knee.

I see guys doing that all the time. I do it myself. For our weekly staff meetings, we don't sit around a table, we just gather a couple of dozen chairs around in a circle, and everybody, male and female crosses their legs. I think I'm the only one who notices. Bugs the heck out of me.

Longer in the limb, flexible in the hip and not carrying extra weight either in muscle or fat probably makes the diff.

I find it comfortable myself. I remember this coming up in convo with mates of mine and the scrawny guys could do it easy enough. I did notice on the back of that old B&W movies you would see cary grant and the like do it. Maybe because more men are bigger and wearing jeans that's why less do it?

I do it too. Sometimes.

It's all about how the legs are behaving when they are crossed. If they are bouncing around the place and the gent is leaning forward whilst waving his arms in an animated manner, then that's not really masculine.

But just sitting there, relaxing against the back of a chair chilling with friends, is completely acceptable if you ask me.

Its physically uncomfortable for me thats all. Couldn't care less who crosses their legs. A friend crosses his legs sometimes & he ain't gay. Far from it.

I'm doing it right now OP...it's never really been a conscious decision, it's just something I do, couldn't give f*ck if someone thinks it effeminate or gay or whatever. My legs and I'll do what I like with them...
